Refund & Cancellation Policy

CaptionCast is a subscription-based service for real-time speech translation and captioning. We want every customer to be satisfied. This page explains how refunds and cancellations work.

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with CaptionCast for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase and we will issue a full refund — no questions asked. This applies to your first subscription payment only.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. You can do this from the Billing page in your account, or by emailing us at support@captioncast.io.

When you cancel:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You retain full access to your plan's features until then
  • Your account reverts to the Free plan (30 minutes, 1 meeting per month) after the period ends
  • Your existing meetings and transcripts remain accessible on the Free plan
  • You can resubscribe at any time

Refunds After 14 Days

After the 14-day guarantee period, subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We do not issue refunds for:

  • Unused minutes or meetings within a billing period
  • Partial months after cancellation
  • Downgrading to a lower-tier plan mid-cycle

If you believe you were charged in error, or if you experienced a significant service outage that affected your usage, please contact us. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis and will do our best to make it right.

Disputes

If you have a billing dispute, please contact us at support@captioncast.io before filing a chargeback with your bank. We respond to all billing inquiries within one business day and are committed to resolving issues quickly.

Filing a chargeback without contacting us first may result in temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is being resolved.

Free Plan

CaptionCast offers a free plan with 30 minutes of transcription and 1 meeting per month at no cost. No credit card is required. This allows you to try the service before committing to a paid subscription.
